Pari Pari Miami

PariPari is a handroll bar that has just opened in Wynwood, Miami, created in collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Yasu Tanaka. The concept is simple: to serve handrolls made to order, featuring warm rice, ultra-fresh fish, and crispy nori, in a warm and modern atmosphere. The name “PariPari” means “crispy” in Japanese, a nod to the quality of each hand roll.

To bring this unique world to life online, I was tasked with designing a website that reflects both the restaurant’s visual identity and the culinary experience it offers, while providing visitors with a simple and immersive browsing experience.

The idea was to create a unique website that broke away from traditional conventions and captured the atmosphere and energy of PariPari. The challenge was to present all the key information—such as the address, menu, history, and photos of the dishes and the venue—in an interactive and unexpected way.

From a design perspective, the goal was to create a genuine bridge between Japan and Miami. The “handmade” and artisanal feel was brought to life on the website through paper-like effects, cursor interactions, and movable photos, to enhance the site’s artisanal and immersive atmosphere.

Music, which is dear to the PariPari team, has also been placed at the heart of the experience, to fully immerse visitors in the restaurant’s atmosphere.

The website fully captures the essence of PariPari. It is lively, interactive, and immersive. Every element—from the menu to the photos of the dishes and the restaurant’s interior, as well as the interactive features and music—recreates the restaurant experience online.

Visitors can easily navigate the site and experience its energy as if they were standing at the counter. The design and interactive features highlight the restaurant’s artisanal and unique character. The result is a unique digital experience that breaks away from the conventions of traditional websites while staying true to the spirit of PariPari.
